COVID-19 volunteer update

Mercy Corps is following guidance provided by the CDC, as well as local and state public health authorities.  Due to that guidance, we have made the decision to postpone orientations until further notice.  We appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we make these difficult, but necessary adjustments to do our part to maximize social distancing and help flatten the curve of this pandemic.  We look forward to welcoming back prospective volunteers when it is safe for public gatherings to reconvene.

Think Global. Act Local.

Our volunteer program has opportunities here at our global headquarters in Portland, Oregon. We do not have an overseas volunteer program.

One of the core strengths of our global programming is that we hire staff nationally, in the countries where we work. This approach helps boost the economy of the local region, empower the local people, and engage the community in bringing positive change.

Occasionally there are opportunities for people to support our international programming through internships.
