In a nod to the CITIES exhibit, this year’s Stories from the Field event takes a look at how Mercy Corps designs country programs to address economic and social development challenges. In an increasingly complex world, how can we create catalysts for positive lasting change for those who need it most? Mercy Corps team members -- Senior Vice President, Programs Craig Redmond and Myriam Khoury, Vice President, Strategic Program Initiatives -- share their experiences. Find out how we are trying to push the boundaries to use models that are "non-traditional" and that promote sustainability. After their presentation, Redmond and Khoury will take questions from the audience.

Myriam Khoury provides leadership for Mercy Corps’ TSU, emphasizing synergies amongst technical sectors, evidence-based approaches and innovative models for achieving results. She has over 17 years of experience in the international development arena, including 10 years of field-based work managing large-scale, multi-sector programs.

Craig Redmond directs Mercy Corps’ Program Operations, Program Development, Social Innovations and Financial Services, and previously served as Mercy Corps’ regional program director for South and SE Asia. Before joining Mercy Corps in 2000, he held positions at the UNDP and the UNHCR, working on refugee issues and microfinance in the Caucasus, Central Asia and the Horn of Africa.
