Brief Project Description:

Mercy Corps is a non-religious, non-profit and non-governmental international humanitarian organization. 

Mercy Corps in Sudan while using the grant facility, will aim to enhance the performance of the actors in the middle of the value chain, particularly the SMEs, to catalyse their active and efficient engagement in the selected value chains to add value and enhance maintenance of that value for the produced food to ensure increased availability in quantity and quality of food, and its delivery from producers (FCs) to consumers in market areas, particularly through Consumer Cooperatives and other active market points agents. This activity will be achieved through two major ways – 1) direct support to SMEs through a matching grant mechanism; and 2) facilitation of linkages of abled and willing SMEs to supported FCs and Consumer Cooperatives.
