Clare Condillac is Mercy Corps’ Chief People Officer, leading the organization’s global People function and helping to shape its people and organizational strategy. Her focus is on strengthening leadership, culture and organizational effectiveness and building an inclusive, connected workplace where people feel valued, inspired and able to do their best work to support communities around the world to build more prosperous futures.

Clare brings more than 25 years of experience spanning the humanitarian, international development, cultural and private sectors. Before joining Mercy Corps in 2023, she founded and led an international HR and organizational development consultancy, advising a wide range of organizations navigating growth, transformation and complex change. Her early career included senior regional leadership with Plan International in Asia and international humanitarian roles with the British Red Cross and Oxfam.

Clare approaches her work with optimism and considers it a privilege to work alongside people whose commitment and expertise make positive change possible. Outside work, she enjoys hiking, practising yoga and spending time with those she loves, including an ever-growing menagerie of pets.
