Since February 2011, MC Myanmar has partnered with 8,800 food insecure households in 80 villages in Mandalay, Rakhine, and Chin States to implement its "Building Community Resilience for Food Security" program. The program helps vulnerable communities in underserved areas to sustainably increase agricultural production and incomes in the face of climate variability and extreme weather events. It includes initiatives to facilitate training on appropriate farming practices, increase people's participation in community planning, strengthen community-based organizations, and organize village banks that provide both monetary and animal loans.
