More than 4 million people in the Philippines were displaced by Typhoon Haiyan. Many families are escaping to less damaged cities like Cebu, seeking the water, food and shelter that has been wiped out in their hometowns. Our Emergency Team Leader Mark Ferdig shares what it's like for them in evacuation centers that are far from where their homes once stood.
While our team distributes supplies like food and hygiene kits in remote areas, we expect the massive displacement caused by this storm to create new challenges in the coming weeks. Families will need our long term help to recover.
