Background
Mercy Corps NW conducts regular small business training for entrepreneurs out of our Portland, SW Washington and Walla Walla offices. The Portland office serves over 1,000 entrepreneurs annually. Small business education is an integral part of our economic development programming.
Purpose / Project Description:
The Virtual Event Planner (VEP) is contracted to oversee the logistics, technology, and execution of online events from kick-off to event closure. Virtual events include but are not limited to meetings, webinars, conferences, networking events, and virtual speed mentoring events, pitch competitions and online markets. The Virtual Event planner will work with all MCNW teams and program managers to successfully deliver Educational, marketing and competition events for Mercy Corps NW.
● The VEP will ensure they have time to meet one on one when needed.
● The VEP will work and coordinate with MNCW Staff, PM’s the Women’s Business Center (WBC) manager & Team and WBC Advisory board.
● Attend all planning meetings with the PM’s, staff and WBC advisory board.
● Have project management experience in planning and executing events.
