After the Japan Earthquake: NGO Survey

June 13, 2014

Completed by Japan Platform approximately two years after the Great East Japan Earthquake this survey was conducted as part of the ‘Tomodachi NGO Leadership Program’ to evaluate the response of Japanese NGOs to the crisis. It is currently being used to specify areas where these organizations need to build capacity and as a tool to reflect on in future training plans. The issues and needs identified here provide insight for the larger disaster relief community and will enable these organizations to develop further and carry out more effective humanitarian aid activities.
