Sending thanks from Colombia
From a country in crisis, a participant shares a moment of gratitude
A voice message of thanks from a program participant (Yolis) to Mercy Corps program officer (Kevyn) inspired the Colombia field team to create this video — a collage of photographs of the people of Colombia and Venezuela, including some of the families they have met or served along the way.
Mercy Corps leads a program called VenEsperanza, working alongside other leading aid organizations to reach nearly 90,000 people with emergency cash assistance across Colombia. During the COVID‑19 crisis, we are pursuing innovative ways to continue delivering aid safely and as quickly as possible to displaced Venezuelans and Colombians in urgent need of humanitarian assistance.
