The destruction of the Kakhovka dam has triggered a large-scale humanitarian disaster across southern Ukraine. As thousands evacuate from catastrophic flooding in downstream communities, civilians face growing dangers — particularly elderly and people with disabilities who remain stranded in high waters.

Mercy Corps has been working in Ukraine since the start of the full-scale war in February 2022, reaching more than 2 million people alongside our local partners. We will continue to respond to this latest escalation and meet critical needs of people affected by the destruction of the dam.

You can support Mercy Corps’ life-changing impact with a gift that will be used where it is needed most — in places like Ukraine and in 40+ countries around the globe where communities face the impacts of conflict and climate change. Please rush your donation today.
