Through our INVEST program (Introducing New Vocational Education & Skills) in Helmand province, a young man learns sewing and embroidery that he will use to produce garments for sale on the local market. Students can also learn tailoring, metal work, TV repair, IT and English.

Although they must still learn separately, women have recently started attending INVEST training courses as well. More mothers are sending their daughters to school now that they can earn their own income.
