As we're reflecting on the one-year anniversary of the earthquake in Haiti, I am looking at some data about all of you who supported Mercy Corps' work for the first time during the Haiti emergency. Dear donors, please don't do this — do this instead! Dear donors, Every day my heart is touched by your overwhelming generosity and desire to help! Haiti: Back to normal, sort of Here in Portland, it's sunny and warm for February. Camellias are in bloom, and lots of little flowers and bushes are budding out with new leaves. Bridging the gap between "us" and "them" I just went to a great brown-bag lunch session here at Mercy Corps headquarters where Cassandra Nelson talked about her visit to the Central African Republic (CAR). Cassandra brought back lots of stories about Mercy Corps' work in CAR. Our supporters are inspiring! As Mercy Corps' database manager, I get to see lots of different names and gifts go by in my work, making sure our supporter records are all correct.
