After several days of trying, two Mercy Corps staffers were permitted into Gaza today: Albana Dwonch, who works with our Global Youth Connectivity project, and Cassandra Nelson, our global media and communications officer.

Humanitarian access unchanged since ceasefire
As a eighth Mercy Corps truck enters Gaza, our staff say that humanitarian access has remained essentially unchanged since the ceasefire.
Medical supplies delivered to Khan Younis hospital
Three trucks with medical supplies and baby formula, as well as several boxes of refrigerated items, packed by our partner Reach Out to Asia (ROTA), cleared the Rafah border crossing and were delivered to a hospital in Khan Younis.
Truck carrying food for roughly 600 families gets in
Another truck carrying 12 tons of food, for about 600 families, successfully crossed into Gaza today and will arrive at our warehouse tomorrow. The food — about $20,000 worth — includes meat, sugar, lentils, tuna fish, soybean oil and rice.
Twenty families receive food, bedding in Gaza City
Over the last two days, Mercy Corps has distributed mattresses, pillows, blankets, diapers, formula milk, canned tuna, canned beef and a jar of halwa to 20 families in Gaza City. The goods were bought within Gaza.
Food distributions reach 485 families in Khan Younis
Staff and volunteers finished distributing emergency food boxes to families today in villages east of Khan Younis. All told, 485 families received rice, tuna and cooking oil.
