Tiendas de la Salud
Grown out of Mercy Corps' pilot micropharmacy program, Tiendas de la Salud (TISA) is a microfranchise network of health stores that supply high-quality, low-cost medicines to rural areas of Guatemala. With funding from Linked Foundation, we opened 50 stores that are currently providing medicines and services to 88,000 people. Now, key private sector partner Farmacias de la Comunidad will expand TISA to an additional 500 stores in other rural areas of Guatemala that are expected to reach more than 450,000 people.
