An innovative partnership between Mercy Corps and specialty roaster Coffee Bean International uses proceeds from the award-winning Café Aldea blend to help support social programs like the mobile health clinics run by the Nicaraguan Asociación Aldea Global. A one-dollar premium per pound gives hardworking farmers and their families subsidized health care right in their villages. Each purchase of faily traded Café Aldea coffee also supports much-needed services like latrines and sanitation education.
