We need your vote to win $150,000!
Web Manager, Global Citizen Corps
Mercy Corps and Global Citizen Corps Indonesia want you to vote! These videos remind me again and again how powerful the Internet is as a tool for sharing information and ideas. We sent no instruction to the team in Indonesia and they produced one of the most compelling and hilarious videos yet. This video process is like a giant game of Internet based telephone. The best part is that the message is still coming through loud and clear: Vote for Mercy Corps!!

Are you still voting for Mercy Corps to win $150k?
Web Manager, Global Citizen Corps
Making these Western Union promo videos has been a hoot and I have found that Global Citizen Corps (GCC) youth and staff really open up in front of the camera.
This video was filmed on my Macbook in Mercy Corps Beirut and Baalbek offices. There is a humor present in this video that I love and that really represents an attitude of GCC across the region. These guys are willing to work hard and are able to smile at the end of the day.
I am happy to present the GCC Lebanon Western Union promo video. Let me tell you, there are a lot more outtakes than made it into the video. Keep an eye out for an all-outtake video to be released in the coming weeks. And (of course) keep voting for Mercy Corps to win $150,000 in Western Union's 50 Days of Giving contest!

Help Mercy Corps & GCC win $150,000!
Web Manager, Global Citizen Corps
As the web manager for Mercy Corps' Global Citizen Corps (GCC) program, my job is all about harnessing the power of communications technology to amplify the voices of youth leading the charge against poverty.
Now through December 25, GCC students and Mercy Corps friends and supporters are voting every day on Facebook at 50daysofgiving.com to help us win a $150,000 grant from Western Union. If we win, a portion of the prize will fund our 2011 youth leadership summit! The rest of the money will support Mercy Corps' work around the world, from empowering women through literacy, to working for clean water, to supporting children in some of the world's most challenging places.
Check out this video of GCC students and Mercy Corps staff who are taking the pledge to vote every day! I hope you'll join us and cast your vote today ... tomorrow ... and for the next 50 Days for Mercy Corps!
