PEACE WISE- Building the capacity of conflict-affected women for peace dialogues
The Sudan PEACE-WISE program's three pillars were building women's capacity, ensuring women's representation, and linking and networking women groups at local, state, and national levels. The program's key interventions focused on building the capacity of women groups to ensure their engagement in key dialogues and processes that affect their stability and security in targeted locations.
Mercy Corps worked with partners and led local women’s networks to amplify the voices of conflict-affected women at the decision-making level, demonstrating the power of collective influence and action to address women’s priorities and needs at the state and national levels.
This report details the 4-year journey and the importance of the inclusion of women in Sudan’s peace processes.
