Following the tragic events of September 11th, the editors of The Bridge felt it necessary to address the profound effect it had on our lives as well as discuss the issue of tolerance.
A healthy civil society helps to promote tolerance and peaceful change in a way that involves people from all types of social classes and backgrounds in decisions that directly affect their lives.
Civic bodies seek to educate citizens about their issues, which includes introducing them to different approaches to an issues.
This exposure to different opinions, communities and dialogue helps people understand each other better and identify solutions to common problems.
