This issue of The Bridge focuses on the importance of inclusion of people traditionally excluded from society. People with disabilities, while present in every community, are very often marginalized by the communities in which they live and work.
People with disabilities face challenges to truly participating in daily activities, events and decisions that greatly affect their lives. If people with disabilities are not involved in our programming, then we must raise the question, are our programs truly representative of the communities in which we work?
This issue focus on Mercy Corps' efforts to be as inclusive as possible in our programming to truly help communities as a whole.
