New York, NY - The Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) and Funny or Die are teaming up to present Give Food A Chance on Sunday, October 19th at New York City's Highline Ballroom.
This benefit comedy show celebrates the opening of Mercy Corps' Action Center to End World Hunger, a first-of-its-kind interactive public space that will equip, inspire and empower visitors to tackle the challenges of global hunger and poverty.
Horatio Sanz and Matt Walsh will host an evening of comedy with a cast of all-star comedians, many of them hailing from Saturday Night Live, and special guests. Included in the evening's lineup will be a number of videos starring Justin Long (Live Free or Die Hard), Elizabeth Banks (40 Year Old Virgin) and Lena Headey (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) that were made exclusively for Mercy Corps by Emmy-nominated writer and director Adam McKay (Saturday Night Live, Anchorman, Talladega Nights, Step Brothers). McKay was an original member of UCB and is the co-founder of Funny or Die.

Mercy Corps is excited to team up with comedy giants UCB and Funny or Die for Hunger Action Week. To commemorate the opening of the Action Center, Mercy Corps is presenting a week of events for New Yorkers and visitors of all ages and backgrounds to get informed and involved in tackling hunger and poverty. The goal for this event is to raise money and awareness for Mercy Corps and the Action Center to End World Hunger opening in lower Manhattan on October 16th. Give Food A Chance starts at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail reception, followed by general admission doors at 7:00 and show at 8:00.
