The firm has set up a Miller Nash LLP and Employees Haiti Relief Fund at Mercy Corps with a $10,000 donation. The firm will allow staff to donate up to two days of vacation time and the firm will donate the cash value to that fund. Because staff vacation donations will be non-taxable to the employee, the employee cannot claim the donation on his or her income tax return as a charitable contribution. To make a vacation time donation, send an e-mail to Jenae Burbank indicating how many hours of vacation you wish to donate up to two days. You may make additional donations to that fund as you decide.
