Last year the staff of Metro Parent (a parenting magazine serving the Portland/Vancouver metropolitan area) and its readers banded together to make a big difference in the lives of local families. We started an annual tradition with our Holiday Giving Campaign.
For our Holiday Giving Campaign this year, Metro Parent would like to make a difference, with the help of our readers, in the lives of the “poorest of the poor” overseas. We're asking readers to help families globally gain access to quality healthcare. By joining in to donate toward the purchase of a Health Clinic Mercy Kit, you'll be helping Mercy Corps build a much-needed clinic in an isolated community that will provide families and children access to the facilities, medicines and expertise they need to stay healthy.
By joining with Mercy Corps to support the construction of a health clinic in an impoverished Third World country, we are almost certainly saving lives.
The cost to fund a health clinic through Mercy Corps is $2,500. Metro Parent will match our readers’ donations up to the first $1,250.
Together, all of us can touch the lives of our needy brothers and sisters around the world.
