Message from Clinton NY Cranes of Hope

You've seen the heart-wrenching images of Japan's earthquake and tsunami. Entire villages have been swept away. Hundreds of thousands of people are displaced. The people now face fears of radiation and afterquakes. Whenever there is a tragedy, it is natural to want to help in some way, however small, but we often don't know how.

St. James Episcopal Church invites Clinton NY, and all in the greater Mohawk Valley, to help by donating to Mercy Corps. Mercy Corps is providing immediate and longer-term needs to earthquake survivors.

St. James has folded more than 3000 origami cranes and raised more than $1250 to send to Mercy Corps. Our outreach ministry group has already sent $1000. For more information or to purchase Cranes of Hope (strings and earrings), go to http://www.stjamesclinton.org/tsunami-relief

Thank you!
