Message from Music to Help Japan
It has been said that Japan will need more than 800 billion dollars to rebuild, and that it would take over ten years or more for a full recovery. People in Tohoku Japan (Northern area of Japan) may seem calm, however there is a lot of fatigue and stress; people, especially those who are not able to go back to their own homes, are tired. The Japanese government announced that the number of people who have evacuated were 112,405 on June 16, 2011.
So come join us for a spectacular musical fundraising event that will take place at the Wild Buffalo; by far the hottest happening space in the upper Northwest.
Goh Kurosawa is noted for his approach to combining non-common time signatures such as 7/8 with Japanese soundscapes, and immediately following the M9.0, with the help of energetic people and musicians, he organized a benefit event in Los Angeles which is recognized as L.A. Musical Artists Uniting to HELP JAPAN (click www.youtube.com/lamau2011 for short video, or click www.sanluisobispo.com/2011/06/30/1663639/his-homeland-isonhis-mind.html for an article entitled "...his homeland on his mind").
Headlining the event will be the extraordinary Blues man Nick Vigarino ("That slide is naaasty!!” – Bo Diddley). Other musicians who are confirmed to join the event are SJ Tucker, Seastar, and Jean Mann; all who are well-respected musical acts of the Northwest & beyond.

Most importantly, we all need to realize that we are quite blessed to be able to live the every day life, and remind ourselves what makes us human... perhaps not all of us have much money to share, however we can keep moving forward whatever that may mean for each of us, and continue to send positive thoughts to wherever needed.
Thank you for the support, and we hope to see you at the Wild Buffalo!
