Dear Artists and Creative Minds

On March 11, an 9.0 earthquake struck off the northeast coast of Japan near the city of Sendai. The earthquake generated a massive tsunami with waves as high as 30 feet, resulting in floods, fires and the closure of airports and transit systems. Hundreds of people were killed, and homes, fields and towns were flooded or destroyed. On top of all that, they are now facing one of the world's worst nuclear plant disasters.

Artists Help Japan Movement is a worldwide movement by artist communities. Founded by Dice Tsutsumi, an art director at Pixar Animation Studios, this movement has picked up quite a momentum with over 12 upcoming fund raising art events in LA, San Francisco, Toronto, Paris, New York and more!

Along with Give2Asia, we are very selective of our fund destinations.
Mercy Corps is working to help survivors of Japan's earthquake and tsunami with their longstanding partner, Peace Winds which is VERY well respected among the NPO community in Japan. Based on our research both on the US side and Japan side, we are proud to add Mercy Corps as our second NPO partner.

We strongly believe your donations will be used effectively in the hands of Mercy Corps.

Thank you!
