Message from AMIN and NAAP-DC
More than half a million Syrian refugees are now facing life-threatening conditions as winter storms hit Jordan and Lebanon. Freezing rains flooded tents, overcrowded homes are running out of heat, and a dramatic spike in new arrivals have left thousands without shelter from frigid snow.
Mercy Corps is accepting donations to send warm clothes, blankets and other urgent supplies to Syrian refugees.
- $18 will provide a blanket to a family, keeping them warm on the coldest nights
- $45 will provide a 2 warm coats for 2 children, bringing warm smiles to the coldest cheeks
- $250 will provide winter clothes for an entire family, to protect them all through the winter season
They have been assisting families in camps and host communities since August, supplying clean water, building playgrounds and providing emotional support to help children through their trauma. And they'll be there until families can return home.
I hope you'll join me in support of this important work. Together, we can help families survive this harsh winter far from home.
