How does monthly giving work?
Our monthly donation program allows you to provide steady, ongoing support to Mercy Corps. After signing up on our web site, your specified donation amount will be charged to your credit card either on the 1st or the 15th of each month. You choose the amount and day, and can modify or cancel your membership at any time. Monthly giving allows Mercy Corps to limit our overhead costs and apply your contribution to the people who need it most: struggling families and children around the world. Monthly contributions are critical to the success of our work.
Do I have to use a credit card to join?
Using your credit card in conjunction with our secure web server allows your donation to be used most efficiently to help those in need. If you wish to use a checking account draft, or write a monthly check, we offer a mail-based option. Each month, you'll receive a receipt and a program update via mail. To join using this option, please contact our donor services department at donorservices@mercycorps.org, or call 1-888-842-0842.

Your support benefits the entire mission of Mercy Corps, which includes:

Will my donation be used wisely?
Mercy Corps has long been recognized as an excellent steward of the resources entrusted to it. Over the last 5 years, Mercy Corps has used 88 percent of our resources for programs that help people in need. How much should I donate?
Every dollar helps, so you can choose the amount that's right for you. Many people choose to donate $31 a month. By giving a dollar a day — less than the cost of a cup of coffee or Sunday newspaper — you can help make a major impact alleviating suffering and providing opportunity for children and families around the world. The minimum pledge is $5 per month.
How do I change the amount I give or cancel my membership?
You can increase, decrease or cancel your monthly donation at anytime. Simply contact Mercy Corps at monthlygiving@mercycorps.org.
How can I update my contact information, donation amount or credit card?
To update your contact information, or donation amount, you can email our donor services department any time at monthlygiving@mercycorps.org or call us. To update your credit card information, please call our donor services department directly at 1-888-842-0842.
How will I receive a record of my donation?
Each month when your credit card is charged you will be sent an email receipt stating the amount of your donation. Monthly giving programs are mail-free and use email to minimize overhead costs and maximize your donation's impact.
How can I monitor Mercy Corps' programs?
You'll receive a monthly email describing one of the people or programs your donation supports. You can also check the Mercy Corps website anytime for stories and program updates from around the world.
