The Iraqi government recently announced plans to postpone a nationwide census because of fears that it would ignite ethnic tensions and violence. It is just one of the many conflicts that continue to threaten the unity of Iraq. And security remains elusive in many parts of the country. Charles Barker has been trying to change that. He is a conflict management specialist with Mercy Corps and he has been working with Iraqis to help them solve disputes without resorting to violence. Jerome asks him whether Iraqis have their own techniques for resolving conflict.
