What's happening on the ground in Afghanistan? How has the health and welfare of the Afghan people been affected by the U.S.-led invasion? We'll hear from a Red Cross doctor who's been running an orthopedic rehabilitation center in Afghanistan for 20 years. A Mercy Corps' food security director tells us about humanitarian conditions. We'll learn about efforts to merge tribal law with national law. And we'll visit Afghanistan through the eyes of the owner of the local Afghan restaurant, Kabul.
Penny Anderson is Mercy Corps' food security director. She was Afghanistan's deputy country director for Mercy Corps from 2004-2006. She just returned last week from her most recent visit to Afghanistan.
