Motorcycle Madness for Mercy Corps!

Hello friends!

The first Mercy Corps Headless Horsemen benefit ride - from West Seattle to Ocean Shores - from will take place August 28th, 2010. We're challenging friends and sponsors to support each rider by making a donation to Mercy Corps to support their lifesaving assistance around the world.

To many of us, motorcycling is a passion — getting out from behind the desk, off the computer, off the phone and ripping through twisty two-lane country roads, rumbling like rolling thunder through small towns with an occasional pit stop to sip coffee and tell tall tales. And this is another tall tale in the making! We are putting our passion to work, touching disadvantaged children and families with the gift of compassion and hope for the future. Check out all the info on our Mercy Corps event page.

As Steppenwolf lead singer — and Mercy Corps donor — John Kay sings in his group's 1969 hit song "Born to Be Wild": "Get your motor runnin', head out on the highway, lookin' for adventure, or whatever comes your way..."

Thanks for your support!

“As I was on an airplane today, I thought of you, Dan....then I see this ride. I take that as a sign that I was meant to send my support. In case you don't remember me, we met in '05 during the ONE campaign / G8 / Live 8 activities. Good luck on the ride and thank you for all you do!!!”
