Learn more about the conflict in Syria in the film, The Suffering Grasses Directed by Iara Lee, the film chronicles the stories of those most affected by the violence in Syria and chronicles the nonviolent resistance mounted by civilians in protest.

Suffering Grasses is followed by a panel discussion featuring hip hop artist Omar Offendum; adjunct member of faculty for International Studies & Women’s Studies at PSU, Taghrid Khuri; and Rotary Fellow, Steve Nakana.

Offendum concludes the event with a hip hop performance.
