For nearly a decade, Mercy Corps spokesperson Cassandra Nelson has been on the frontlines in many of the world's most challenging places, including Afghanistan, Iraq, Gaza, Pakistan, Darfur, Congo, and most recently Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

On August 9, 2010, Cassandra will be the guest at Portland Monthly’s “Bright Lights: Discussions About the City” series, hosted by Randy Gragg, Editor in Chief, and presented with the City Club of Portland. This event is free and open to the public.
