The Minus 5 will take the stage at the SakeOne Outdoor Summer Concert Series on July 11, headed by musician Scott McCaughey.

This year, SakeOne will donate 20% of ticket sales for its Outdoor Summer Concert Series to Mercy Corps. So you can benefit Mercy Corps as you enjoy sake, have fun with friends, and hear some of the Northwest's favorite bands on beautiful Northwest summer nights.

Formed in 1993, McCaughey designed The Minus 5 as a pop collective, with each record the group put out featuring a new lineup. Throughout these releases, McCaughey worked the most frequently with R.E.M.'s Peter Buck.

Their first full-length debut album "Old Liquidator" was released in 1995, and the Minus 5's lineup consisted of McCaughey, Buck, and Jon Auer and Ken Stringfellow of The Posies.

Since then, the project has collaborated with musicians like the Young Fresh Fellows, Wilco, John Wesley Harding, and The Decemberists. This year, they released a new album entitled “Killingsworth.”

The SakeOne Outdoor Summer Concert Series will take place every other Saturday, rain or shine, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. from June 27 through August 29 at 820 Elm Street, Forest Grove, Oregon.

The Minus 5 show on Saturday, July 11 costs $10 for general admission, and $8 for students, club members, and shareholders. Tickets can be bought on SakeOne's website or at the door.
