Have a Heart for Haiti

Give your Valentine a gift more meaningful than candy or flowers — the gift of recovery for the people of Haiti.

Two new Mercy Kits support our efforts to help families recover and rebuild:

Our Comfort For Kids Kit supports our work helping children cope with emotional trauma in the wake of the earthquake. We're training caregivers to use a counseling methodology that's helped children cope after 9/11, Hurricane Katrina and earthquakes in Peru and China. The price of this kit reflects the cost of two "comfort kits" — packs filled with items including a blanket, sketchpad, crayons and toys — distributed as part of our program.

Our Haiti Rebuilding Kit supports our work paying local residents to clear debris, clean wells, build latrines and rehabilitate schools. This income helps survivors meet their immediate needs as they rebuild their communities. The price of this kit reflects the cost to equip and pay a Port-au-Prince resident for two weeks of recovery work.
