That's the question we asked women taking part in our programs in the Central African Republic, one of the poorest nations on Earth.
Hussenatou: "I am thankful for my health and because I have three beautiful children who are healthy, and because I am given the chance to earn money for my family."
Sheela: "I'm grateful for my sister who works so I can go to school."
Edwige: "I am thankful for my husband and children, and for the Mercy Corps loan that has allowed me to expand my bakery."
Khadidja: "I'm thankful for my health and for the work I am able to do, developing a women's association with Mercy Corps' help."
And we recently put the question to Mercy Corps staff, who shared what they're thankful for on our Facebook page.
Chip: "I'm thankful for an amazing family, amazing friends, my health and a great place to work."
Alisha: "I'm writing from Iraq, and I'm thankful to be here to watch a national election take place in January."
Danielle: "I am thankful for my children, who remind me each and every day how precious every person in this world is."
Jorge: "I am thankful that I live in this great country, a land of plenty, where education is available so that life is such a blessing."
