Central African Republic

Share:

Central African Republic has been described by the United Nations High Commissioner as "the most neglected crisis in the world." Multiple conflicts have displaced about 250,000 people and forced more than 70,000 to become refugees in neighboring countries. But violence is just one of Central African Republic's many challenges: Mercy Corps is helping the country's population improve water, sanitation and hygiene, while helping women know and defend their basic rights, as well as build economic opportunities through village savings and loan associations.
