From Mercy Corps staff member Safa Nasr (woman at left above, with Mercy Corps volunteer Jehad in cap) in Khan Younis:

"Today, we managed to distribute around 180 food parcels for those displaced from the eastern villages of Khan Younis. Most of the cases we distributed to today have completely or partially lost their houses and had moved away with relatives."

Also on Sunday we delivered emergency supplies and powdered milk to 11 families in destroyed houses on Gaza's border with Egypt border in Rafah, and to 39 families sheltered at a UN-run school in the same town.

Tomorrow we continue distributing the food parcels, which will eventually go to more than 450 families.
